Deane holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy (AUT) and has wide experience across the field of rehabilitation, including orthopaedics, child development and out-patient rehabilitation.

Prior to joining the Align Health team, Deane spent 10 years in the Hands, Burns and Scar Management team at Waikato DHB, where she was a Senior Therapist in the Burns & Scars team.

Deane works closely with local plastic and orthopaedic surgeons to treat clients with a range of upper limb conditions including acute trauma (e.g. fractures, dislocations), nerve conditions (e.g. carpal tunnel) , post-operative care and overuse and pain conditions (e.g. tennis and golfers’ elbow, De Quervains).

Deane is an expert in the field of Burns & Scars management. She helps clients seeking to regain mobility and function and improve the aesthetic appearance of burns and scars following accidents or surgery.
