Your first consultation will typically be 40 minutes, but up 60 minutes depending on the complexity of your condition. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable clothing that will allow your clinician to assess your condition and treat you.

During your initial consultation, we’ll ask you about your current problem and the impact on your life and activities. Expect questions about previous injuries, your general medical health and wellbeing and your physical goals. This is followed by a physical examination to establish what anatomical structure/s are the source of your pain or symptoms and what underlying factors might be contributing to the problem.

From here, your clinician will discuss the findings with you and work out a plan for you, including the different treatment options. The treatment plan is tailored especially to you. Follow-up consultations continue the treatment process and depending how you are progressing, adjustments are made to the plan.
